Science Communication

REMA’s action in the field of science communication is part of FLUP’s mission, which aims to affirm itself and to be recognized as an institution of national and international reference, in terms of scientific research and in the transfer and dissemination of science culture. In this sense, FLUP has been promoting a panoply of activities in different areas of science communication, namely of scientific meetings, publications and other extension SciCom activities.

Therefore, through its R&D units, FLUP develops science communication initiatives in areas such as:

These initiatives contribute to extend the scope of the FLUP science impact, to exchange new ideas and to promote the knowledge circulation within the academic world, and to broaden horizons and create a democratic dialogue with a wider audience.

Based on these common objectives, REMA intends to capture the interest of society in general about the science produced at FLUP, and contribute to the creation of a public understanding of science culture as an integral part of a more inclusive and egalitarian society.
